Journal week 9

This week we finished our title sequence, we finished editing it and tidying it up. we are very pleased with the outcome of our piece as we feel that we have made our piece using the best of our ability. we all decided that we were finished editing and we had got to a point where if we added anything else, it would spoil what we have already made.

Journal week 8

This week we made changes to our title sequence by looking at the feedback sheets and understanding what people liked and disliked. We also tidied up the cuts between shots as these were not running smoothly. We just tidied our whole sequence up and made all the transitions run smoothly.

Journal week 7

This week we finished editing our first draft of our title sequence and showed it to the class and shaun. We gotten class to fallout feedback sheets which will help toi form us of any changes that we need to make to our final piece. Most of the feedback was positive although their is a few changes that we have to make. we have to take Clint Eastwood out of our film, but we will replace him with Alan Rickman. We are all reasonably happy with the sequence and after the changes are made I am sure we will be happy withtnefonal outcome of the piece.

Journal week 6

This week we continued to edit our title sequence and i believe that it is looking good or atleast better than it did before. we are having trouble adding the song to the sequence as it says that we need to update our version of garage band, but apart for that the editing is going pretty well I would say. this week we also filmed that we thought that we were missing.  On the re-shoot it snowed which could of made a big difference to the shooting of the piece but luckily it was not visible to the class that we showed it to. We will be shooting our last re-shoot as we are happy with the things we have.

Journal week 5

This week we re-filmed our titltoe equine as the footage we first shot was too dark. to avoid this problem again we filmed at a different time of the day.we decided to film at sunrise as their was a greater amount of natural light making the footage much clearer and more visible than it was before. However when we began to edit we realised that we needed to add in some more shots we have started to edit what we have and are working out what shots we need before going to the reshoot. We have also discovered that the voice over does not fit in our sequence so we ate just going to use a song instead.

Journal week 4

This week we filmed our title sequence and we planned on starting to edit it. However on Friday, 20th January we filmed our title sequence. the footage seemed fine to us and it looked alright on the camera, however when we uploaded to the macs, it was too dark and the footage was not really visible. so we have decided to re-schedule the shoot, for the Tuesday the 25th of January. This means that we could not begin to edit, we however decided to film our voiceover instead. Once the sequence is shot to an acceptable standard then we can begin to add the affects the song and the voiceover.

Journal Week 2- 8th December

Here is the second week of my journal. I will be writing about what we done in our lesson today. This week we storyboarded our title sequence, and we tried to find out possible music for it but then realised that the music had to be copyright free. We created 14 shots on our storyboard but we also took into account the camera movements so that we are completely sure that we can make the title sequence last at least 2 minutes. The storyboard was mainly what we wanted to put our full attention on as we knew exactly how are going to film it. The storyboard is completely focused around the theme of fire. We decided on the location of our sequence which will be Aaron's back garden as he has an incinerator that we can create the fire in. We still have to find copy right free music which we will create on garage band. We also need to buy or make fake burns which is a very important part of our sequence. We will also have to find out who will distribute our film so that we can put their logo at the start of our sequence.

Journal- Week 1

Starting from this week i will be keeping you updated on my work and the progress within my group by keeping a weekly journal.
This week my group, Ryan Emin, Harjinder Chana, Aaron Vander and myself assigned roles that we would be in control of, we decided that we needed to allocate roles so that we all knew what we were doing and were fully prepared. The roles that we assigned ourselves were as follows:
Aaron---Director
Harj---Cameraman
Ryan---Editor
James---Actor.

We were all comfortable with the roles we were given, everyone will know what they are doing when we come to filming and in the long run this will save us time.
